JORDAN MAYFIELD
ABOUT
ME
With more than 17 years in video production, I've had the privilege of wearing a lot of hats — director, cinematographer, editor — and contributing at every level of the productions I've been a part of. At the core of everything I do is storytelling: crafting clear, compelling narratives that resonate across a wide range of subjects and audiences.
Early on, I made it a point to try and learn a little of every role on set — not just to sharpen my own skill set, but to build real common ground with the people I work alongside. When you understand what your gaffer, your AC, your sound mixer is navigating, the conversations change. The trust deepens. The set runs better. That mutual respect is something I carry into every project, and it consistently brings out the best in the people around me.
My career has taken me around the world, and every experience has continued to sharpen my creative instincts, deepen my technical fluency, and reinforce my belief in the power of collaboration. Whether leading a full crew on a large-scale commercial or operating as a one-person unit in the field, my strongest work always comes from clear communication, shared trust, and an openness to ideas.
I'll say this too — gear matters, but it's not what makes a great story or a great team. The best tools in the world won't save a weak narrative or a disconnected crew. I'd rather have the right people and a clear vision than the biggest budget.
